Career and Technical Education (CTE) promotes success for all students through quality programs that prepare students for the future workforce, meet industry standards, support collaboration among high schools, post-secondary education and business, and promote excellence in teaching.
Almost 7,000 students participated in Career and Technical Education courses in the High Desert region. Students earned National and State awards in Culinary, Agriculture, Auto, Small Gas Engines, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Forestry, Business, Video Production, Manufacturing and Construction.
High school CTE students earned more than 1,200 college credits in Tech Prep courses at COCC.
